I never leave reviews, but I can't help it. The salespeople here are rude, and talk down to you if you have any questions. As soon as you walk in and have a question, they will make sure that you feel dumb about asking it or for not already knowing the answer.
I run a small company, and we've tried going here several times with our weedwhackers and mowers, always to be ripped off, or at least attempted to be ripped off by extremely high prices, and stories of how "it's cheaper just to buy a new one from them instead of fixing it".
These guys target people over 50 who will pay anything to have their mowers fixed without checking prices and who will believe whatever they are told by a "mechanic" so they can stay in business.
We bought a replacement part from them a year ago for over $115. just to find the same OEM part online at amazon (from multiple venders) for $40 with free two day shipping, Stout’s said it would take a week to get it. So they are paying $40 (at most) for it, and charging us $115. That's just the part, no installation.
Cramer's in Stroudsburg will sharpen your blades and chains for the same or less, but will treat you with respect. Steele's Hardware in Tannersville will fix your mowers and chainsaws, won't rip you off, and treat you with respect. We're done with this place.
